Divisions

Open
All teams may compete.

Women
All teams members must be women.

Mixed
At least three members of the team must be of each sex.

Masters
All teams members must be at least 40 years old.

Women Masters
All teams members must be women, and at least 40 years old.

Mixed Masters
All teams members must be at least 40 years old. At least three members of the team must be of each sex.

Handicap
All teams are eligible. Awards will be based on finish times corrected for team handicap.

Corporate (Open)
All members must be employed by the same employer or place of business.

Special Divisons

In addition to the major divisions, trophies are awarded for some special divisions. These special divisions are informal, and are not meant to be taken too seriously. In order to qualify, a team need only declare that it comes reasonably close to meeting the qualifications.

Academic Division
Any team affiliated with a school, college, university, or other center of learning.

Armed Forces Division
Any team that is instrumental in the nation's defense (Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, private militia).

City and County Division
Any team that claims to represent the city or county included in the team's name.

Civil Service Division
Any team affiliated with the federal or a state or municipal government.

Culinary Division
Open to any team that claims special culinary skills, and is willing to prove it.

Ecclesiatical Division
Any team affiliated with a church or other religious group.

Financial Services Division
Any team associated with money (banks, insurance, stock brokers, the mafia).

Happy Families Division
Every team member must be related in some way to some other team member.

Health and Medical Division
Any team affiliated with a health agency, hospital or other medical group.

Legal Division
Any team affiliated with a law firm or other legal group.

Old Friends' Division
Team members must have run together for at least four years.

Running Club Division
Any team consisting of members of the same running club (no ringers allowed).
