Section 7

The road snakes through farms and woods. Just a little way past the exchange you will be faced by one of the worst hills yet. The view from the top of the hill is spectacular, although the runners are not always able to enjoy it.

The exchange at the end of this section has been staffed every year by members of the Southern Illinois Orienteering Club. It's a difficult exchange, because the road is narrow and the visibility is not good, but the race officials are experts at controlling the traffic flow.
