The final section is a significant challenge for the anchor runner who is alone for the first two miles on a series of tough hills with no water or encouragement. But the gravel road has been upgraded to asphalt! You will emerge onto the highway, and head down a steep hill into Golconda.
The last half a mile through the town makes it all worth while. Your team mates will join you for the final run along Main Street, but they will have a tough time keeping up with you.
The experience of crossing the finish line will be unlike anything else you have felt as a runner.
